Vote for your all time favourite British sports car.

The Silverstone Classic (22-24 July) this year will host around 7,000 classic cars from over 100 car clubs many of whom are celebrating important anniversaries.

The experts have shortlisted 15 all time great British Sports Cars and set up a voting page on the Silverstone Classic website, so that everyone can select their favourite. Already there have been many votes with an early lead for Morgan, so make sure you and your friends vote for your choice before the closing date of 30th June. The winning car’s votes will be drawn and each of 10 voters drawn at random will win a pair of tickets.
The good news is that no matter which of the short-listed cars is your favourite, they will all be out in force at the Silverstone Classic.

Help make this the most authoritative vote ever and vote now.

In case you were wondering, I voted for the Jaguar E-Type.  I was very surprised there was no mention of the following great and beautiful British cars, which would be right up there: Aston Martin DB4 Zagato, McLaren F1, Jaguar C Type, SS100 Jaguar, Alvis Speed 25, Aston Martin DB2, Austin-Healey 100S, Lotus Elite, AC 428, Lotus Esprit and Jaguar XJ220.
