Our top 10 cars from the Drivers Union meet up at Brands Hatch (May 2021)
On Sunday 23rd May 2021 we attended the British GT Championship at Brands Hatch, as part of their supercar display, organised by Drivers Union. There were 63 cars in attendance from Drivers Union members, here are my top 10 cars. I list the cars in order of which I’d like to own/ drive.
Ford GT
Just stunning. A design masterpiece. The lines, the curves. I just love it, but not the unfortunate (for me) price.
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
One of my favourite Ferrari of all time. Loud, purposeful, no gadgets, no carpet, no radio, nothing in the car that’s not needed, no drivers aids, enough said. Awesome.
Ferrari F12
Beautiful in white. I had the pleasure of following the car in a small convoy to the track. Love it.
Ferrari 488 Pista
This is a bit of me. Beautiful, purposeful, awesome.
Ferrari F430 Scuderia
Lovely and nasty. The successor to the 360 CS.
Ferrari 488 Spider
Love the lives, lobe the colour, hopefully one day will love to drive. Watch this space…
Porsche GT3 RS
If you love raw driving (as it should be), then what’s not to love about the awesome Porsche GT3 RS. Purposeful. Not a colour for me, but what a beast.
Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
A little bit leftfield, but an unusual colour that caught my eye. Burgundy, with matching cream and burgundy interior. Bravo, very nice.
McLaren 570S
Black with yellow detailing. I’d not normally go for a black supercar, but this with the yellow detailing on the interior caught my eye. Nice.
Nissan GT-R
Lovely colour. Bright, unusual, in your face. Wonderful. Absolute beast.
So there you have our top 10, but as always, here’s a few other cars we found dotted around the track that were worth a mention. If any of these are you cars, and you’d like us to do a feature on your car in our cars in the spotlight, then please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
Another Porsche GT3 RS. Love the colour.
TVR Sagaris. Awesome car colour. Is TVR England’s most mental car company, probably.
Not often you’ll see a BMW Z8. Rare. Good to see up close and walk around.
Aston Martin Vantage. Is this the Bayberry Green? Looked good whatever.
Audi RS6. Not sure I get these. Who would want to drive at the speed’s these cars pull with a whole family in the car. Bonkers.
An iconic Land Rover Defender 110. This one has ben used and used, but still looked great. 215,000 mile on the clock. Well done to the owner, you can tell it is their pride and joy.
