Ferrari CZ26: The Powerful New One-Off That Elevates SF90 Performance

Ferrari has unveiled the CZ26, a striking new One-Off created through its Special Projects programme. Revealed in Monterey, California, on 13 August 2026, the bespoke berlinetta gives one US client a Ferrari unlike any other.

The CZ26 takes the technical foundations of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and wraps them in a completely new body. Ferrari Design Studio created the shape under the direction of Flavio Manzoni.

As a result, the CZ26 places design at the centre of the experience. Its surfaces look remarkably clean, while its aerodynamic features serve clear technical purposes. The result is a dramatic interpretation of Ferrari’s high-performance hybrid formula.

A Ferrari SF90 Stradale With a New Identity

The Ferrari CZ26 retains the SF90 Stradale’s technical specifications and performance credentials. However, Ferrari has transformed its appearance from the ground up.

The design follows a strong horizontal theme. It also introduces a distinctive two-box silhouette that gives the car a planted stance.

At its centre sits what Ferrari describes as a capsule-like mass. Four muscular sections around the wheel arches support it. Meanwhile, the body appears to flow from the nose towards a sharply defined rear.

That approach gives the CZ26 an unusually cohesive appearance.

Rather than covering the body with unnecessary details, Ferrari has integrated many of its functional elements into the main surfaces. The result feels more like a carefully shaped sculpture than a conventional supercar.

A Dramatic Front End

The front immediately establishes the Ferrari CZ26’s character.

A full-width functional grille dominates the nose. It incorporates ultra-slim lighting units, brake cooling openings, sensors and other technical components.

Inspired by Italian Design

Ferrari says the CZ26 draws inspiration from significant examples of Italian industrial design from the 1970s.

However, the design does not attempt to recreate a historic Ferrari. Instead, it takes the principles of that era and gives them a modern interpretation.

That means simple shapes, strong proportions and carefully integrated functions take priority.

Several features demonstrate this philosophy:

• The front and rear treatments share a consistent geometric theme.

Silver, Red and Carbon Fibre

Ferrari has also developed a carefully considered colour and materials package for the One-Off.

The body uses Argento Veloce, a special silver finish with a liquid-like appearance. It highlights the changing surfaces of the bodywork and helps reveal the precision of the design.

Ferrari then adds Rosso Lampante details for contrast. These red accents bring warmth to an otherwise technical colour scheme.

Pigmented carbon fibre adds another layer of visual interest.

The bespoke wheels combine gloss-black paint with a shot-peened surface treatment. Ferrari uses microscopic beads to create the distinctive finish.

Natural-finish titanium exhaust tailpipes complete the exterior.

A Bespoke Cabin With a Technical Feel

The interior follows the same design philosophy.

A bespoke black technical fabric forms the basis of the cabin. Bespoke seat inserts use additive manufacturing and feature a pattern created specifically for the Ferrari CZ26.

Rosso Lampante details connect the interior with the exterior. An embroidered CZ26 logo adds another personal touch.

Ferrari also combines several contrasting surfaces. Matte technical fabric sits alongside satin carbon fibre, while special gloss carbon fibre contains metallic filaments within its weave.

Body-coloured sections appear on the door panels and upper dashboard. As a result, the cabin feels closely connected to the exterior rather than treated as a separate design exercise.

Aerodynamics Drive the Design

The CZ26’s visual drama serves a practical purpose.

Ferrari redesigned the aerodynamic package across the car. At the front, engineers repositioned the central radiator pack and added dedicated bypass ducts.

This approach improves cooling efficiency while increasing the downforce acting over the front axle.

Ferrari also redesigned the underbody and vortex generator system. These changes help optimise aerodynamic balance.

The outer sections of the front bumper feature an air curtain system. It manages airflow around the front wheels and helps reduce drag.

At the rear, a large upper spoiler works with a dedicated diffuser. Together, they increase downforce while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency.

Ferrari also redesigned the rear engine cover. Dedicated vents help remove heat from the engine compartment under demanding conditions.

The programme creates unique One-Off Ferraris around an individual client’s vision. Each project develops through close collaboration between the owner and Ferrari’s design team.

The process typically takes around two years. Designers first establish the proportions and forms before developing detailed drawings and a physical styling model.

Only then does production begin.
