Top 10 Cars I’d Most Love to Drive, featured at Salon Privé London 2026

Salon Privé London 2026 was back after an absence in 2025. Moreover, this great event took place once again at the lovely venue of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th April. So, onto our top 10 favourite cars at Salon Privé London 2026, based on the cars I’d most like to drive, NOT OWN. Some of these cars were for sale in the Concours de Vente, while others were not.

2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport 110 Ans

For sale by Foskers at €4 million. However, as the car is registered in Switzerland, so if you bought it and wanted to keep it in the UK, you would also have to pay UK VAT (double ouch). What a cool car though.

1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Competizione

For sale by Joe Macari, for £POA (I’d guess circa £7–8 million). I absolutely adore this car. In my opinion the Ferrari 250 GT SWB is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

2020 Ford GT

For sale by Tom Hartley at £649,950. I’d so love to own and drive this. Hypercar performance at not crazy money. I think one of the best car designs of the last decade.

2004 Ferrari Enzo

For sale by Joe Macari, for £POA (I’d guess circa £3.5–4 million). An all time iconic hypercar, names after the man himself Enzo Ferrari. So cool.

1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole

For sale by Brian Classic & Company at £POA. The most sought after ‘Downdraught’ QV. Ordered for delivery in right hand drive via Portman. Fewer than 4,300 miles from new (6,900km). Originally supplied with a spare, wingless boot lid. Super cool.

1976 BMW Motorsport 3.5 CSL Werks ‘Grosser Beer’ Group 5

For sale by Dylan Miles at £POA. One of the most iconic liveried competition cars of all time and one of just four 3.5 CSL competition cars constructed by BMW Motorsport GmbH to Group 5 specification in 1976. BMW Motorsport had dominated touring car racing throughout the 1970s and 1976 would be the last year that the factory racing department ran CSL’s before the introduction and focus on the E21 320 Group 5 racers for the forthcoming 1977 season. Uber cool.

2018 McLaren Senna

For sale by Apollo Capital at £735,000. Not a car for the road, and not a car I’d like to own, but to drive, YES PLEASE.

2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

For sale by Clive Sutton for circa £400k. 0-60 in 2.3 seconds. Apparently, it has two of the largest turbos Clive Sutton has ever seen, and when they get going, they move faster than the speed of sound. Those Americans love extremes. So do I. Not a car I’d like to own, but to drive, YES PLEASE.

Koenigsegg Agera R

If you love driving cars and driving fast, you’d have to want to drive one of these works of automotive art. A no-brainer.

1965 Aston Martin DB5

For sale by Desmond Smail at £POA. In Silver Birch of course. Bond, James Bond. Enough said.

Special Mention: 1955 Pegaso Tipo Z-102B 2.8 Saoutchik Coupé Spéciale

A very rare Spanish GT caused a stir on the lawns this year. Specifically, this 1955 Pegaso Tipo Z-102B 2.8 Saoutchik Coupé Spéciale – one of only five surviving LHD Series II Berlinettas with bodywork by the French coachbuilder – was brought to Salon Privé London by Cars International Heritage for the Concours de Vente. Notably, it carried a price in the region of £785,000.

Designed by Wifredo Ricart, chief engineer at Pegaso (ex-Alfa Romeo under Ferrari), the car was subsequently displayed at the 1954 Paris Salon. It was later restored to Pebble Beach concours standards, gaining the two-tone paint scheme inspired by the Series BS2 Especial.
