How To Unlock The Aston Martin Vantage S’s Ultimate Thrilling Power

Aston Martin has raised the bar – again. Say hello to the new Aston Martin Vantage S: the most performance-focused model in the Vantage range and a car that redefines what a British sports car can be in 2025.

With more power, sharper handling, and enhanced design inside and out, the Aston Martin Vantage S builds on the already thrilling base model to deliver a dynamic experience that’s more engaging, more refined, and unmistakably Aston Martin.

Power with Purpose: The Heart of the Vantage S

front

At its core, the Aston Martin Vantage S is powered by an uprated 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. It now delivers a mighty 680PS at 6000rpm and 800Nm of torque between 3000 and 6000rpm. That’s a noticeable jump over the standard Vantage and puts it among the elite in the ultra-luxury sports car category.

Acceleration? It’s rapid. The Vantage S sprints from 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds and 0-124mph in 10.1 seconds, while top speed holds firm at 202mph. Quick off the mark, but never unruly – this is a car that feels in control at all times.

Sharpened Dynamics: Fine-Tuned for Drivers

Aston Martin has refined how that power is delivered. Engineers have recalibrated the throttle pedal for improved feel across different Drive Modes, ensuring a more connected, intuitive driving experience.

The result? The Vantage S feels alive under your right foot – eager, alert, and always rewarding.

There’s also a revised Launch Control system, optimised to extract the best possible performance from the new powertrain. A tenth shaved off the sprint time may sound small, but in this league, it matters.

Suspension Reworked: Agility Meets Comfort

rear

Chassis development was a key focus. The adaptive Bilstein DTX dampers have been retuned for better front-end response. At the rear, changes to spring stiffness and transmission mount tuning have brought added refinement – especially at lower speeds.

One of the smartest tweaks? The rear subframe is now directly mounted to the body, eliminating rubber bushings to give the Vantage S a more precise, engaging feel through the corners. It grips harder, turns in quicker, and feels more composed when pushed.

The suspension geometry – including camber, toe, and caster – has also been carefully revised. Combined, these updates give the Aston Martin Vantage S razor-sharp responses without compromising ride comfort. It’s confidence-inspiring at any pace.

Aerodynamics: Form That Follows Function

The Vantage S doesn’t just perform well – it looks the part too.

Up front, new centrally mounted bonnet blades (available in gloss black or carbon fibre) give it a more aggressive stance and help vent hot air from the engine bay. At the rear, a full-width decklid spoiler adds 44kg of downforce at maximum speed. In total, there’s 111kg of aerodynamic downforce working to keep the car planted – most of it focused at the front for sharper turn-in.

Further tweaks to the underbody – including a redesigned front airdam and venturi vanes – contribute an additional 67kg of downforce. It’s not just for show – every detail enhances stability and handling.

Standout Design: Style with Intent

Beyond performance, the Aston Martin Vantage S stands out visually with purposeful design details that elevate its road presence. The signature ‘S’ badging on the front wings is a handcrafted brass piece, inlaid with red glass enamel and finished in bright or dark chrome – subtle, but with impact.

The wheels are just as eye-catching. A bespoke 21-inch satin black Y-spoke alloy with a red graphic adds a bold flourish. Pair it with bronze-painted brake callipers, and the Vantage S announces itself with style and authority.

Crafted Interior: Sporting Luxury, Redefined

Inside, the Aston Martin Vantage S gets a unique Alcantara and leather ‘Accelerate’ interior as standard. Lightweight, tactile, and beautifully finished, it sets the tone for a focused yet luxurious cabin.

Carbon fibre trim inlays and red highlights carry the sporty theme, while embroidered ‘S’ logos on the seat shoulders – with over 2,500 stitches – underscore the attention to detail. Aston Martin’s legendary interior includes semi-aniline leather and intricate chevron quilting. Offered in both monotone and duotone finishes, it lends the cabin an unmistakable sense of motion and elegance.

Dynamic Debut at Goodwood

The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed was the perfect stage for the Aston Martin Vantage S’s dynamic debut. Thundering up the estate’s famous hill climb, it gave fans a first-hand glimpse of Aston Martin’s latest performance star in full flight.

Goodwood remains one of the key moments in the UK automotive calendar, drawing enthusiasts from all over the world – and this year, the Aston Martin Vantage S stole the spotlight.
