Our top 10 cars that featured at the wonderful Salon Privé 2023
We attended Salon Privé at 2023 on Wednesday 30th of August, which is known as Concours Wednesday.
As always, I have to base my decisions as to what cars appear in a top 10, based on which cars are the most like to drive, or own, assuming money was no object (I can only dream).
Given the Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta, an Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, are always going to be in my top 10, on this occasion, I have dismissed them to give somebody other cars a chance.
Okay, so I lied given this Lamborghini Miura is in my favourite Lamborghini colour of green (Verde Scandal I believe) I had to include it.
So here goes…our top 10 cars that featured at the wonderful Salon Privé 2023:
.
1970 Lamborghini Miura P400S
Amazingly this was not class winner in the Lamborghini 60th anniversary class, but one and honourable mention. Daylight robbery in my opinion.
.
1963 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso by Scaglietti
Just what an absolutely beautiful car. I love the shape, I love the colour, with a numberplate FER 250, super cool. Respect to the owner. WOW.
.
2005 Ferrari Enzo
Beautiful car. I love it in this colour, it’s a light metallic blue/ silver. Stunning. Very very cool.
.
Lamborghini Revuelto
Looks absolutely amazing. I think this is the best looking V 12 Lamborghini have ever made.
.
1992 Jaguar XJ220
This is one of my favourite cars of all time. This car makes me proud to be British. This was the fastest car in the world at the time, and I think it looks stunning. I do not think navy blue is its best colour though. What do you think?
.
Lamborghini 400 GT 2 +2
I have no information on this car. I’m assuming it’s 1965 given the tax disc on display. It’s a Zach’s Garage car. It’s absolutely beautiful. LOVE IT. So cool.
.
1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV
Love this blue colour. Anyone know the name Lamborghini give this blue? Or is it a bespoke one-off. Is it Lamborghini Blu Hera metallic? Supercar heaven. I love the outrageousness of this car.
.
1989 Ferrari 640
A classic and iconic F1 car.
Just listen to it. Sorry, but it takes 2 minutes to warm up before you can rev. it. Wow, what a sound. I would so love to have a drive.
.
1938 Bugatti Type 57C Atalante Roll-back Coupe
Just absolutely beautiful. I love the two tone, black and cream colour scheme. This car was a class winner in pre-war closed/elegance and I can see why. A work of art as well as a car, just how we like it.
.
1937 Bugatti Type 57S by Corsica
This car won it’s class in the pre-war open – international class. An absolutely exquisite car looks brand-new. Absolutely lovely. Post my attendance of the show I discovered this car won the Best in Show award. Read more about this car and it’s story & current ownership here.
.
This was so hard to try and choose 10 cars, when I could’ve chosen 20 or 30 cars. Here are a few that missed out (below).
