Our Top Ten Cars from the 2016 Classic Motor Show
As there are so many wonderful cars on display at the Classic Motor Show, we’ve tried to condense our 150+ photos, down to our favourite 10 and why? If you went to the show or not, we’d love to hear what you think of these beauties.
1. 1935 Auburn Speedster
143 made, only 11 right hand drive. What an absolute stunner.
2. 1981 Lamborghini Countach LP400 S
For sale via Silverstone Auctions (estimate £350-400k). Did not sell, but a beauty.
3. 1954 Maserati 250S
Fantastic looking car, on the best car club stand (in our opinion).
4. Recreation Jaguar D-Type
For sale via Total Headturners at £69,995. Bargain
5. AC Cobra 289 FIA (recreation)
For sale via Duncan Hamilton at £52,995
Called the ‘racing van’ for its unique new body design by Pierre Drogo. We think it’s super cool. What do you think?
7. 1987 Ferrari Testarossa Koenig Competition Evolution II
Reportedly one of only 21 made. Not a favourite for Ferrari traditionalists, but we think it’s very very cool, and would so like to drive one.
8. Jaguar XJ220
Was this the first true hypercar? Yours several years ago for £100K, now more like £400k. Doh! We so missed our opportunity with that one. Another classic car that got away.
Rightly so this was in the “Pride of Ownership” display. What a car, what condition. Beautiful.
10. Jaguar E-Type Series 1
How could I not include a Jaguar E-Type. Just look at it. So very beautiful. So want to own one. One day…
So there you have our top 10. More Top 10s here. What do you think? Did you attend and if so what car have I missed? What were your top 10.
WOW!!! great cars!!!
