The 3 cars that stood out at 2011 Classic Motor Show
So if you missed it, this weekend the wonderful 2011 Classic Motor Show took place at the NEC. This is a must attend event for any classic car enthusiast.
It had been a few years since I attended, so the first thing that I noticed was the magnitude of the event. There were several halls with something for everyone. I arrived just before 10am, and was done for the day at 6.30pm.
In brief, this event has every type of classic car you could imagine, and some very rare cars. You have to be a true car enthusiast to get the most from this event, as the event has such a broad selection of cars, with no manufacturer or genre of car dominating.
Our highlights were of course the sports car stands, included the Ferrari Owners Club of GB, Bugatti, Aston Martin and Maserati.
We rounded off the day, with a nice cup of tea and listening to Mike Brewer and Edd China of Wheeler Dealers for an hour of so take questions from the knowledgable audience and put together their show challenge (to rebuild a Triumph Spitfire).
Cars of the day for me were (in no particular order):
Maserati 4CS 1500cc Supercharged
Ok, so I liked the Maserati 4CS very much. Until next year, and we cannot wait…
