10 Exquisite and Amazing cars from Salon Privé 2025
On Wednesday 27th August, we explored the Salon Privé concours day with its 60 rare gems on the South Lawn at Blenheim Palace grounds/ estate. I then returned on Supercar Sunday 29th August, a day that was a celebration of supercars and car club displays across the lawns.
Salon Privé is one of the UKs premier car shows. This year was the 20th anniversary show, and back in the grounds of beautiful Blenheim Palace. With the show evolving each year, this year seemed to be bigger than ever and had a massive palatial gallery which formed the centrepiece of the event. A 5000 sq metre glass pavilion on Blenheim’s South Lawn was certainly a sight to behold, and was very useful when the heavens opened.
Here are my personal top 10 cars from the show, listed in order of my desire to own/ drive:
1. 1970 Lamborghini Miura P400 S

Just love this car. The 1970 Lamborghini Miura P400 S, it’s colour, the design, an iconic car. Some say the first supercar.
.
2. 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO by Pininfarina

Again, for me, this is a stunning Ferrari. The 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO by Pininfarina is iconic, rare, beautiful, purposeful, all the things I love.
.
3. 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

Wow. Just a super cool car. So beautiful. I love the creme colour also (on this car). The 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is one of the all-time great classic cars.
.
4. Ferrari 512 TR by Pininfarina

I’m from the generation that grew up desiring this Miami Vice-era machine. The Ferrari 512 TR by Pininfarina may not be quick by today’s standards, but it still looks effortlessly cool.
.
5. 2015 Jaguar C-X75

It’s a stunning car. The 2015 Jaguar C-X75 was a concept car, that was never put into production. Nuts. I am sure this car would have been a commercial success. Jaguar missed a trick there. CALLUM made this car a working version. BRAVO.
.
6. 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500K Spezial Roadster by Sindelfingen

Just beautiful, elegant, exquisite. What is not to love. This 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500K Special Roadster by Sindelfingen won the award for Best in Show 2025. Well deserved.
.
7. 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL Works Development Car E9/R1

Super cool. 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL Works Development Car E9/R1. I’d so love to drive this.
.
8. Ferrari Daytona SP3 (from the Green Collection)

Rare. Unique looking. An unusual colour. We love it. The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is car we’d love to drive.
.
9. 1964 Alfa Romeo TZ

The 1964 Alfa Romeo TZ is a very cool car. Very dinky proportions compared to the cars of today. We love it.
.
10. 1956 Bentley S1 Drophead Coupé by H.J. Mulliner

Beautiful, elegant, what a car. The 1956 Bentley S1 Drophead Coupé by H.J. Mulliner really did catch my eye.
.
