Experience the Magic: Maserati’s Top Moments from Goodwood 2025

Maserati stormed back into the spotlight at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed with a show-stopping display of speed, style, and Italian sophistication. Over four action-packed days, the House of the Trident showcased its most exciting cars yet – combining world premieres, high-performance debuts, and exclusive hillclimb runs that left fans wanting more.

From the paddock to the hill, Maserati didn’t just show up. It showed off.

MCPURA Debuts: Maserati’s New Super Sports Car

One of the biggest talking points of the entire Festival was the global unveiling of the Maserati MCPURA – a super sports car designed to raise pulses and redefine performance.

Taking the DNA of the acclaimed MC20, the MCPURA pushes boundaries further still. Maserati offers it in both coupé and convertible forms – the latter named MC20 Cielo – and brings together four standout features:

  • A carbon fibre monocoque chassis for strength and lightness
  • The mighty Nettuno V6 engine with F1-inspired pre-chamber combustion
  • Dramatic butterfly doors
  • A retractable electrochromic glass roof on the convertible

This is Maserati at full throttle – fusing innovation, elegance, and blistering power in one stunning package.

GT2 Stradale: Born for the Track, Tamed for the Road

If you were near the hillclimb, chances are the GT2 Stradale caught your attention – and held it.

With its aggressive stance and unmistakable sound, the GT2 Stradale delivered a visceral experience every time it charged up the hill. It’s the road-going version of Maserati’s victorious GT2 race car, and it brings a serious performance edge with it.

Much of that comes down to its new titanium racing exhaust, developed by Maserati Corse and TubiStyle – the same team behind the MC12’s iconic sound. The exhaust system shaves 7kg off the standard setup and enhances the car’s dynamics, but most importantly, it roars like nothing else. Every weld is handcrafted, and the result is a sound that matches the GT2 Stradale’s motorsport pedigree.

GranCabrio: Where Power Meets Poise

While the GT2 Stradale flexed its racing credentials, the new GranCabrio offered a more refined take on Maserati performance.

Draped in a sophisticated Verde Giada finish and lined with perforated Ice leather, the GranCabrio blended luxury with muscle. Its 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6 produces 490hp and sprints from 0-62mph in just 4 seconds. With a top speed of 186mph (300km/h), this convertible isn’t just about open-air cruising – it’s a grand tourer with serious punch.

MCXtrema: Extreme by Name, Extreme by Nature

Rounding off Maserati’s high-octane showcase was the jaw-dropping MCXtrema. Painted in a bold Blue Xtrema, this track-only monster made its first UK appearance at Goodwood.

Limited to just 62 units worldwide, the MCXtrema is powered by a tuned version of the Nettuno V6, pushing out an eye-watering 740hp. It’s not road legal, but it was never meant to be. Instead, this is a machine built solely for track thrills – a celebration of Maserati’s motorsport roots and racing ambition.

Celebrating a Century of the Trident

Maserati’s presence at Goodwood 2025 carried more weight than usual – it’s part of the Year of the Trident, a milestone marking 100 years of the famous logo.

First used on the Tipo 26, which won the Targa Florio in 1926 with Alfieri Maserati at the wheel, the Trident has become a symbol of Italian performance excellence. As the brand looks forward, it’s also paying tribute to its legacy of victory, craftsmanship, and innovation.

With Goodwood as its stage, Maserati reminded everyone why it still matters – because it never stopped evolving.
