The RML GT Hypercar debuts at Salon Privé 2025

‘RML Group‘ has lifted the covers on its first GT Hypercar (GTH) at the prestigious Salon Privé. Known for blending motorsport pedigree with bespoke engineering, the British firm has entered the hypercar stage with a model that combines speed, style, and exclusivity.
The GTH is not a concept or a prototype. It is the first of just 39 examples scheduled for production. Even more remarkably, the debut car is one of only 10 40th Anniversary Special Edition models, celebrating four decades of RML’s engineering excellence.
Inspired by Motorsport Greats

RML has always drawn inspiration from endurance racing, and the GTH reflects that heritage. Influenced by legendary Le Mans contenders such as the Porsche GT1, the GTH is engineered to balance track-shattering performance with road-going comfort.
Key highlights include:
- Active aerodynamics with driver-selectable settings
- Adaptive damping systems for both circuit pace and road compliance
- 40 years of racing DNA refined into a usable hypercar
Performance with Purpose

At its core, the GTH is designed to be the “Ultimate GT.” Developed under the internal codename P39 (a nod to RML’s 39th project), it benefits from an exhaustive engineering process.
The Special Edition model revealed at Salon Privé comes fully loaded with both the Performance Pack and Track Pack. These add:
- Adjustable ride height
- Lightweight rear-seat delete
- Reinforced rear roll cage
Under the bonnet, the car delivers 920hp and over 1,000Nm of torque, thanks to a meticulous tuning programme in collaboration with Litchfield Motors.
A Bespoke Work of Art

True to RML’s reputation, personalisation is at the heart of the GTH. The launch model showcases the almost limitless scope of customer choice:
- Exterior finish: Storm Purple paintwork, carbon-fibre roof and bonnet
- Wheels & accents: Gold centre-lock alloys, Gunmetal brake calipers, hand-painted gold badging
- Interior touches: Crayon-stitched leather, Crayon seatbelts, carbon inlays in body colour, and a Storm Purple roll cage
This level of customisation ensures no two GTH models will ever be the same.
Voices Behind the Project

Michael Mallock, Board Member leading RML’s Bespoke Division, praised the car’s completion: “It was ambitious from the outset, but the GTH has exceeded my expectations on both road and track. It represents everything we set out to achieve as a team.”
CEO Paul Dickinson echoed the sentiment: “The GTH reflects RML at its best – delivering extraordinary projects within time and budget. I could not be prouder of our people and what they’ve achieved.”
The Legacy of the P39

The codename P39 is more than a number. It marks the 39th car developed by RML since its founding in 1984 by Ray Mallock. While many projects remain under wraps, a few stand out.
One such project is the NIO EP9, the electric supercar that set records around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Developed under the P31 codename, the EP9 is also on display at Salon Privé. Its advanced VarEVolt battery system, pioneered by RML, reinforces the company’s position at the cutting edge of EV performance.
RML: Four Decades of Engineering Excellence
Since its inception, RML has earned a reputation for delivering championship-winning touring cars, GT racers, bespoke supercars, and advanced battery technology. From its Wellingborough headquarters, the company continues to serve global manufacturers and private clients, guided by its ethos of Engineering Excellence.
Conclusion: A New British Icon?
With the unveiling of the GT Hypercar, RML has entered one of the most competitive automotive arenas in style. Limited to just 39 units, the GTH is destined to become one of the rarest and most sought-after British hypercars of its generation.
But the question remains: will this blend of motorsport pedigree and bespoke luxury define the next era of British performance cars? Could RML’s GTH rival the greats from Ferrari, Aston Martin, and McLaren?
