My favourite racing car of all time is the Lotus 79 F1 car, a great looking car and the first ground effect championship winning F1 car
My favourite car is the Lotus 79 F1 car a fantastic looking first ground effect championship winning car.
It has to be the Mk2 Jaguar as they still look good today, indeed they look better than most modern cars. I used to own one 45 years ago and wish I still had it.
I just love car racing. How I would love to do it aswell. But watching them is the next best thing. And especially the classics. I bet they could tell some stories
Ferrari 250 GTO. Looks like I’m not the only one…
Has to be the le mans bentley speed 8. Set the tone for the prototype era successfully way ahead of its time.

E or D Type Jaguar – iconic sound, way ahead of its time design and a real head turner all that and fun to drive!
The Jaguar E Type as they look amazing both on the track and on the road. A true classic.
Jaguar XJR 9. Great being a spectator to see the Jag’s return to victory at Le Mans
Jaguar XJR 9. Great being a spectator at Le Mans for the cat’s comeback in the 80’s
Mk1 golf’s have always been my favourite car
My favourite classic car is the Ferrari Dino 246. I was given a motorsport book as a child with a picture of this car inside. It has stayed with me ever since.

Certainly feels fast when you are so close to the ground. Loads of fun, iconic and a cool car.
Nice work. Love the Group C cars. Must be an experience to drive one. On my bucket list.
I have to agree. It’s certainly in our top 100.
Classic Touring or pre 66 gt
My favourite modern classic is the Mazda MX5 as I own one
AC Cobra – just great cars
1966 Mustang 289, as that’s the car I have.
Porsche Carrera 2.7. Absolute classic shape, and excellent performance
Jaguar XJS
Had one myself for several years, great cruiser. Seen a British Racing Green one several times on TV that did reasonably well.
Love MK2/3 Ford Capri’s, have done since being a kid, I’m fortunate enough to own a 1985 Capri Laser
Ford Escort RS2000 MK1
D Type Jaguar – a true driver’s car (no silly semi-automatic flappy paddle gear selector – just a manual gearbox, clutch, and your left leg), I saw the ‘fin’ behind the driver’s head fly up the hill at Goodwood, as was hooked.
MK1 FORD LOTUS CORTINA, always wanted one, but couldn’t afford it.
E type Jaguar – one of the most beautful cars ever made in my mind ♥️
Any Group C car or the Bentley Speed 8. The Mustangs, Cortina’s and Capri’s. Sorry got carried away.
Any classic racing car, they are all amazing and sound fantastic.
The classic Mini. I love how something so small can go so fast.
Mk1 Lotus Cortina
D Type Jaguar – I love seeing this car with the ‘fin’ behind the driver’s head fly around the track – and a proper driver’s car too when it won at Le Mans in the 50s (no semi automatic flappy paddle gearbox in sight)
