The rear-wheel drive, two-seat Wiesmann Project Thunderball contains a unique drivetrain thats design is pushing the limits of architecture configuration. The unique twin axial flux PMSM e-motors run along the centre tunnel up into the front of the vehicle, along with the battery modules shaped into a T.
The bespoke lithium ion NMC ‘module-to-pack’ battery delivers a hefty 92kWh (83kWh usable) and has integrated pouch cells based on series modules. The Wiesmann Project Thunderball has zero-emissions and uses a remarkable Intelligent Regenerative Braking System. This delivers to the driver an immersive and emotive feel lacking in other modern EVs. It has five levels controlled by steering wheel paddles, similar to the shifting of gears on an ICE car. Its soul purpose is to give drivers a feeling of utter involvement and deliver the exhilarating experience famous of a Wiesmann vehicle.
Reservations for this futuristic Wiesmann Project Thunderball are open, with pricing starting at €300,000 (£264,000).
