Review: Ring Smart Tyre Inflator

Ring Automotive recently introduced the Ring Connect app allowing drivers to store vital information about their cars and receive maintenance reminder notifications. But the app can also interact with a range of ‘Smart’ products from RING.

The first product to enter the range is the ‘Smart Digital Tyre Inflator.’ Using the Ring Connect app and Smart Digital Tyre Inflator is simple: after registering your vehicle in the app it sends the relevant information to the tyre inflator to inflate the tyres to the correct pressure. All you need to do is confirm the tyre settings are correct, connect to the Smart Tyre Inflator, synchronise the information and inflate the tyres.

In use the app and tyre inflator is very intuitive. You can store multiple cars in the app then just select the one you wish to inflate the tyres of and away you go. It really is as simple as pressing a button, the inflator stops once the correct pressure has been achieved.

After checking the pressure with a separate pressure gauge, we confirmed that the readings from the Ring tyre inflator were all correct.

Other specifications of the Smart Digital Tyre Inflator include multiple car settings, pressure download, active reminders, leak detection, inflation in three minutes, LED light to help in poor visibility, wind up control, deflator valve and handy storage case.
