The Older Jeep Wranglers Still Provide Unparalleled Off-roading Capability

If you want to save money and still get a good off-roader, a used Jeep Wrangler is still the best option.  A favorable used car loan may make the difference in whether you go for used or new. A Jeep extended warranty is also a great option to protect you against any unsuspecting surprises.

Even if it isn’t the ritzy Rubicon, the Wrangler will have lots of off-road capability.  For starters, used Jeep Wranglers are always 4×4 machines. There isn’t a rear-wheel or front-wheel drivetrain out there. You can get an automatic, but you are just as likely to find a six-speed manual transmission. That’s essential to some Jeep enthusiasts.

Furthermore, the typical Wrangler has more ground clearance than the majority of SUVs. Each aspect of the exterior is built to go further into the wilderness. Bumpers and other parts that usually hang over are kept tight. The approach and departure angles are extra sharp for greater mobility on the trail.

Older Wranglers may have poor gas mileage compared to other SUVs of the same size.  However, this may be balanced by better horsepower. You definitely want to make comparisons not assumptions about this issue. Wranglers were slower to get dash tech, which means you should look for one of the most recent models to ensure you get the connectivity you want.
