Congratulations to our 2018 Race Retro competition winners

A favourite classic car show of ours is only days away. It is truly unique, so a massive congratulations go to our competition winners who will be receiving a pair of complimentary tickets to the 2018 Race Retro. An awesome day out for sure for all things classic car and rally related. So I really hope that you’ll enjoy your day as much as we will, and of course we’d love to hear all about it afterwards.

Chris Clark (Nottinghamshire).

We have no doubt that you’ll have a great time at this wonderful event. Let us know all about it below, so those that do not attend can get your thoughts and highlights, so they don’t miss out next year.

Having just had one of those milestone birthdays, I decided to extend it on into the weekend and take a step back in time to see the cars that I remember from my younger days. I am really looking forward to attending the special event of Race Retro at Stoneleigh this weekend where the collection of all aspects of classic motorsport will be on show. The weather is looking good, so one occasion when I won’t have to pack the umbrella.

Thank you for the tickets to Race Retro, I am really looking forward to the event on Saturday.

I always enjoy watching and photographing the old rally cars on the live action stage but hope to go one better this year as I plan to book a ride in one of them on the day.
I am looking forward to seeing Alister McRae back behind the wheel in the UK again after so many years away rallying at the otherside of the world. I always thought of Alister as the better or safer driver than Colin but he sadly didn’t get the chances in a topline car or the World stage. Hopefully it will be a joy to see him throw Colin’s Legacy around the stage like David Llweyin did the other year.

I am also really looking forward to listening to Brian Redman being interviewed on stage as Brian was an all round great and a fellow Lancastrian, and very much a hero of mine. Brian always has great stories to tell from his racing days, so is definately worth making time to listen to at Race Retro. He is also the perfect Gentleman.

I am sure there will be plenty more highlights this weekend and I hope to give a brief report after the event.
