A bucket list addition: to visit the Petersen Automotive Museum
We’ve all got dreams, aspirations and wishes of things we’d like to do before we leave this world behind. Well another one I recently added to me bucket list was to visit the Petersen Automotive Museum.
The Petersen Automotive Museum recently re-opened (Dec 2015), after a 14 month, $90 million renovation. The building looks amazing (below), and the cars within as equally stunning. To visit this museum must be a truly memorable life moment for any car mad individual.
According to the Chief Curator, Leslie Kendall! “this collection is unrivalled in its beauty and rarity.” Highlights include a number of Bugatti’s, headed by one of the world’s most valuable cars, the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic (above), as well as a 1938 Mercedes-Benz 540K Auto-bahnkurier, a 1937 Delange D8-120 Coupe Aerosport by Letourneur et Marchand (below) and the ‘Embiricos’ Bentley.
There is no doubt in my mind that to visit the Petersen Automotive Museum is a chance in a lifetime, so get it done before your time it up…I certainly aim to.
