Beautiful Jaguar C-X75 will now not go ahead in 2013.
A little late with this news, but I was gutted when I found out recently that Jaguar have scrapped the idea of manufacturing the beautiful Jaguar C-X75, which is apparently due to the ongoing global economic crisis. Maybe this is the reason, maybe not, but you can be sure we’ll probably never know the real reason.
Were Jaguar worried about another XJ220 sales performance? Personally I’d like Jaguar to go back to its roots and make racing cars for the road or sexy looking machines. The Jaguar C-X75 was one beautiful concept car, but many manufacturers can make a concept car, it’s the companies that do make these concept cars that show real ambition and passion. A little madness once in a while is good.
Let’s hope that the C-X75 or a similar model will be made at some point in the future. In the meantime let’s hope that Jaguar puts the investment required for the C-X75 into other areas, though you can be sure the money already spent won’t have gone to waste as the move to hybridisation gathers momentum.
Three of the five prototypes built will be sold – lucky owners. Three of them will apparently be auctioned off. Form an orderly queue…
Do you think this is a wise decision by Jaguar or not to scrap the beautiful Jaguar C-X75?
