The 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 Carbon: Exclusive and Iconic
Ferrari’s Daytona SP3 has always commanded attention. Now, the “Carbon” version raises the bar. The 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 Carbon blends high performance with extreme visual impact and exclusivity. For lovers of beautiful cars that push boundaries, this is one to study.
The 2025 Daytona SP3 Carbon Series is one of the cars that represent the vibrancy of Ferrari’s dedication to road performance at the highest echelon. It belongs to the Icona project, which honours 1960s sports prototypes – in this case with a rampant 829 bhp naturally aspirated V12.
Though often referenced as a 2025 model, the Daytona SP3 sits in Ferrari’s Icona series. It draws clear inspiration from the mid-’60s sports prototypes – visually nodding to cars like the 330 P3/4 – yet reinterpreted with modern flair.

We saw this iconic Ferrari Daytona SP3 at the 2025 Concours of Elegance held at Hampton Court Palace. This car was one of many that grabbed my attention, you can see much more Concours of Elegance content here, and videos on our YouTube Concours of Elegance playlist.
Design & Materials: Carbon, Kevlar, and Showmanship
“Carbon” in its name isn’t just a marketing flourish. The SP3 Daytona Carbon uses exposed carbon fibre bodywork with a dramatic two-tone finish: bare carbon paired with Ferrari’s Giallo Modena yellow accents.
Ferrari also incorporated Kevlar in places like the doors, boot lid and rear panel – reducing weight further without sacrificing strength.
One interesting touch: for the one-off Tailor Made “599+1” version, Ferrari emblazoned the full Ferrari logotype across the upper body – a first for the marque.
Inside, Ferrari did not hold back. The cabin uses a fabric made from recycled tyres (called Q-Cycle) for trims – a nod toward sustainability. The dashboard, steering column, and other touches lean heavily on carbon fibre (even of Formula 1 grade).
Performance & Driving Character
Underneath lies the 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 (F140HB), shared with the 812 Competizione but reworked for the SP3. In the standard SP3, the output is quoted at 29 more horsepower than the 812, giving it ~829 hp. Peak torque reaches ~697 Nm. The engine revs to 9,500 rpm, delivering drama and immediacy.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The performance figures are impressive: 0-100 km/h in 2.85 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and a top speed surpassing 340 km/h.
Weight control is crucial. Ferrari quotes a dry weight of 1,485 kg. That gives it a striking power-to-weight ratio, letting the car respond with agility.
Aerodynamically, the SP3 relies on passive elements. It foregoes active wings in favour of under-body airflow, chimneys, diffusers and sculpted surfaces to balance downforce and drag.
Exclusivity, Value & The “599+1” One-Off
Carbon or not, the Daytona SP3 remains ultra-exclusive. Only 599 examples exist, all claimed by Ferrari’s most trusted clients long before launch.
In 2025, Ferrari broke from that run to build one additional, tailor-made example: the “599+1”. That unique car sold at auction for USD 26 million — setting a record for a new Ferrari at auction. All proceeds went to the Ferrari Foundation for educational causes.
The “599+1” carries visual flourishes that set it apart: wraparound Ferrari logotype, bespoke livery, interior finishes exclusive to that car.

For prospective owners or collectors, the SP3 Carbon (or even the standard SP3) is as much an art piece as a performance machine. Its rarity ensures that it will hold (or appreciate in) value.
Driving & Experience (What It Feels Like)
Behind the wheel, the SP3 Daytona Carbon leans toward an analogue soul. There’s no electrification or hybrid boost to soften transitions. What you get is pure V12 response.
The steering is direct and communicative; you sense balance through corners. The car demands focus, but rewards with feedback, grip and poise. The chassis and aero work together so the car remains composed even under load.
Because of its naturally aspirated V12 and light weight, it gives more drama than many modern hybrids. The soundtrack, the throttle behaviour, the absence of lag – they all trigger a visceral reaction few modern cars can match.

Conclusion: Why It Matters – And Your Thoughts?
The 2025 Ferrari SP3 Daytona Carbon stands at an intersection: tradition meets radical boldness; performance meets artistry; exclusivity meets value. It’s a car for people who see more in a vehicle than mere transport.
If you were choosing one Ferrari as a lifelong collection piece, would the SP3 Carbon top your list? Do you prefer cars that speak with analogue purity over hybrid sophistication? Let me know in the comments – I’d enjoy hearing your view.
