Stunning Lewis Hamilton Celebration at the Silverstone Classic

• All seven F1 World Championship winning cars on display

• For the first time all the title winners will be showcased together

• Record-breaking achievements hailed at Silverstone

• Further fuel to the festival’s ‘Best of British’ theme

In a special tribute to seven-time F1 World Championship winner Sir Lewis Hamilton, all seven of his Formula One cars will be displayed at The Classic this summer, courtesy of the Mercedes-AMG and McLaren Formula One teams (26-28 August)

This will be the first time that all seven of his title winners will have been seen together – and there is nowhere better to show off such a spine-tingling showcase, with fans able to get within touching distance to the cars, than at Silverstone, the circuit on which he has delivered so much joy and public adulation in his many successes.

At the legendary Northamptonshire venue, the 37-year-old sporting superstar has so far won a record-breaking eight home British Grands Prix – an unprecedented number, which could be extended further by the time The Classic opens its gates over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

All seven title winning motors will be included in this not-to-be-missed first-ever public display. Every guest will get the chance to ogle over the #22 McLaren-Mercedes MP4-23, in which Hamilton won his first crown in 2008. Alongside this beauty, guests can lap up the luscious sight of every #44 Mercedes’, in which he won further titles in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Hamilton’s first title was in the McLaren MP4-23

Lewis Hamilton was born less than 50 miles from Silverstone in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, where he cut his teeth racing karts from the age of eight. It was in 2001 when he switched to single-seaters, graduating to Formula One with McLaren in 2007 having amassed multiple junior titles.

He was knighted in the 2021 New Year Honours List after achieving such awe-inspiring achievements like winning a joint-record seven World Drivers’ Championship crowns (tied with Michael Schumacher), holding the record for most podium finishes (183), most F1 wins (103), and most pole positions (103).

“We are really privileged to have all seven of Lewis’ title winners on show at The Classic this summer,” explained Nick Wigley, CEO of Goose Live Events, The Classic promoter. “What Lewis has done has made him a legend and his astounding successes will always be celebrated as a massive milestone in motor sport history. This incredible display will be another of the standout highlights under this year’s ‘Best of British’ banner at The Classic.”
