  • Holly Jay Austin-Render says:

Never been one for cars and growing up in the sticks , never saw much. Never understood the petrolhead mentality either. Boy racers in my village with their mk1 Vauxhall and saxo done up n there’s me n my pony and tractor, always intrigued by cars and watched top gear and a few other car enthusiasts but the thing that changed my love for cars was being in my early teens and having to fight my family in our car so I could see where this roar came from, and growling low as she rumbled past was a royal blue mustang , it was beautiful. Never seen anything like it , after years of wondering what exactly that pony was , I found out she was a gt500 a 67 plate. I knew that moment she made an impact on me and wanting to learn about cars. I knew I’d never get to own one or drive one but that car I saw and never seen since is that dream and what a car is all about for me the history and meaning to a car like that is something to live for , no car in my eyes could match that and I have seen a few but the way that car hit me , it changed my outlook on a mans world of toys and i will forever wonder what’s happened to that pony that past me that day trying to manually wind the window down to hear the power and feel it. I still now put the window down when ever I see a mustang and have the flashbacks of that one , I love watching Richard and his team with the cog and pray one day I’d see that pony appear. It’s a great learning curve on a man’s world with cars when watching that show and the love and care they give to each one they have worked on.

  • Wayne holland says:
