If you are a lover of films, Netflix, IPTV streaming, YouTube, and so on…then this is perfect for you. Accessing such a library of content, from your phone, via this device feels great, and after spending a few days with it so far, it has got a big thumbs up from my wife and kids. They love it.

We have come to learn from Ottocast that their products and packaging always seem and feel very premium, especially for the reasonable price. The designed is well refined, classy and is small enough to stay discreet. The device feels robust, durable and made of quality components.

Priced at $109, it feels very reasonable when you consider many of the factors here. Connectivity / SImplicity

Connectivity is simple simple simple. For the technophobes and impatient people out there, this device is comfortingly simple and quick to set up. From taking it out of the box, plugging into the in-car USB port, and then connecting to my phone’s Bluetooth, it took approximately 30 seconds, I didn’t even bother with the manual. I know, tut tut. Of course the easy-to-follow manual is there for those who prefer to play by the rules.

Once using the device the interface is similar to modern expectations, with touchscreen app access. The Play2Video Ultra is the ultimate ‘plug and play’ device so want no cables and simplicity in their driving experience.

Summary

We recommend this in-car entertainment device for its fair price, but mostly for the premium experience and ability to play video in your car’s screen. Just plug and go – it’s really that simple. We really enjoyed the premium durability and design, plus the fact it completely extinguishes the age of phone cables cluttering the car, which is one of my pet hates. Overall, the Ottocast Play2Video gets a thumbs up from us and is an awesome addition to your car (as long as you have a screen at your front console).
