McLaren’s LT Anniversary: 6 Supercars That Changed The Game & How To Join The Celebration
McLaren is marking a decade of its legendary LT models with a year-long ‘Celebrate LT’ programme in 2025. Designed for McLaren’s most passionate owners and enthusiasts, this initiative brings together exclusive content, special events, and retailer-hosted experiences worldwide. McLaren LT models have become iconic in the automotive world, known for their performance and exclusivity.
A Decade of LT: Six Supercars, One Philosophy

The LT (Longtail) story began in 2015 with the McLaren 675LT, unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show. Inspired by the 1997 McLaren F1 GTR ‘Longtail’, the 675LT set the tone for what an LT model should be – focused on driver engagement, weight reduction, aerodynamic efficiency, and raw power. Each of these McLaren LT models delivers a unique driving experience.
Since then, five more LT models have joined the family. The 600LT and 765LT followed, both available as coupé and Spider variants. The most recent, the 765LT Spider, arrived in 2021. Each LT has stayed true to its roots, delivering extreme performance and exclusivity in equal measure. The McLaren LT models combine speed with engineering excellence.
The ‘Celebrate LT’ Programme: What to Expect

McLaren’s 2025 celebrations will put LT owners at the heart of the action. The company has created exclusive content using models from its Heritage Fleet, available first to LT owners. But the celebrations extend beyond existing customers – McLaren fans worldwide will have opportunities to get involved. Sharing experiences with other McLaren LT model enthusiasts will be a highlight of the programme.
Throughout the year, McLaren retailers will host a series of events, including:
- Open days showcasing LT models
- Owner meet-ups connecting McLaren enthusiasts
- Exclusive drive experiences for LT owners
These events will highlight what makes LT models special – precision engineering, blistering speed, and an unfiltered driving experience. Each McLaren LT model offers a driving experience like no other.
LT: The Purest Expression of Performance

“For a decade, LT has embodied the pure, uncompromising performance that defines the very essence of McLaren,” said Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, McLaren’s Chief Commercial Officer. “Relentlessly focused on delivering true driver engagement, every LT pushes the boundaries of weight reduction, aerodynamics, and power. McLaren LT models set the standard in performance-focused engineering.”
With its deep connection to McLaren’s racing DNA, LT remains the ultimate representation of performance-focused engineering. McLaren builds every model in limited numbers, making each LT an exclusive collector’s piece.
