Our Review of the magnificent Concours of Elegance 2024

Here’s our review of the Concours of Elegance 2024, now in its 13th year. This wonderful car show is held every year in early September, and for the last several years its home has been the beautiful, iconic and historic Hampton Court Palace. This year, due to family commitments I had to attend on Sunday this year, rather than the press day which took place on Friday. Biggest miss for me was was missing all the cars on sale with Gooding and Company, which were displayed on the Friday, but not Sunday. Concours of Elegance 2024 – Best of Show

This was the 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Convertible by Inskip (below). Beautiful

What a wonderful event this is. I do say this every year, but it just never fails to deliver. I always feel in car heaven here. Here are a few of the beauties that caught my eye (below). All my photos from the event can be seen here on our Facebook album.

I did love this beauty, and took the most pictures of this car. The 1959 Ferrari Dino 196 S Spider (below). Wow. Just wow.

As the Concours of Elegance wrapped up on Sunday afternoon, there was still one last spectacle for visitors – the Grand Depart. Eighty of the rarest cars in the world start their engines and prepare to leave the grounds of Hampton Court Palace as hundreds of onlookers wave off the Concours cars for another year. It’s a fitting end to an incredible weekend.

The Great Depart
