10 blue beauties at Salon Privé 2024 will make you dream big

The ‘Blue Collection” was on display at Salon Privé 2024, Blenheim Palace. Yet again, it was one of the finest automotive entertainment events anywhere in the world. Each year the organisers have a theme for a collection of cars, normally 10-15 in number. Previous years we had the Red Collection and Yellow Collection. Click on the links to take a look at those magnificent car collections.

In 2024 we had the Blue Collection, and yes you guessed it, all the cars were blue, and what cars they were. The video above shows our walk around all the cars. Below are pictures and our thoughts.

The “Blue Collection” at Salon Privé 2024

A wonderful collection of cars, 10 blue beauties. What is your favourite? Our top 10 cars are as follows, in order of which cars we would most like to own and drive:

1. 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB

It would astound me if anybody thought this car is not a work of art and absolutely beautiful. I have to say for me, this is probably my number one most desired car ever. I love it.

2. Ferrari 250 GTO

This is an iconic car. Probably the most desired car for any car collector to have. If you could even get yourself into the position to buy a Ferrari 250 GTO, you’re talking £60 to £70 million or more probably. I love the shape. I love this particular colour, but I also love it in red.

3. 1990 Ferrari F40

Anyone who knows me, or follows me on social media, will know that I love a raw car or a beautiful object. The Ferrari F40 is for me a pure driver’s car, so what is not to love. I have to say in this colour it is beautiful, but I equally love it in red and if I was to ever be able to afford one, it would be in red.

4. 1951 Bentley Peterson Dartmoor Coupe

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen this car up close. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful and unique. Just look at it. A work of art.

Just look at those lovely curves, that styling. LOVE IT.

5. 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4

An absolutely beautiful looking car and this colour suits this beautiful classic Ferrari. I love the Ferrari 275.

6. 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III DHC

What an absolutely stunning car. I think that these cars are so cool. This car has decanters in the passenger door. How extraordinary and extravagant is that? In my opinion, a very cool car. Turquoise leather, brave, but I like it.

7. Bugatti Chiron

Just purposeful a racing car. Superfast. The Bugatti Chiron is for me.

8.  2005 Bugatti Veyron

It’s just an iconic car. I also love the interior. It has lots of beautiful features. Not the prettiest car, but I would so love to have for a day.

9.  2024 Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta

A beautiful metallic matt turquoise color. Certainly very individual and I love it. I think it’s a cool modern Ferrari, shame they are £1m+.

10.  1979 Ferrari 512 BB

A very cool looking car. I like the two tone colour scheme. What do you think? The metallic blue is also unusual for a Ferrari, but I think suits the car very well.

That’s my top 10 from Salon Prive’s 2024 blue collection. Other cars that did not make my selected top 10 (below). Was I harrsh?
