Hennessey Celebrates the Last Stand of the Amazing Dodge SRT Challenger and Charger

Hennessey, the Texan titans of hypercars, threw a horsepower-fueled farewell party for the revered Dodge SRT Challenger and Charger. The reason? The legendary nine-year reign of the supercharged 6.2-litre Hellcat HEMI V8 is coming to a close. Hennessey is marking the occasion with 50 exclusive ‘Final Bow’ models.

Dodge’s cherished 6.2-litre Hellcat HEMI V8 has graced both the Challenger coupe and Charger sedan in various trims – Hellcat, Jailbreak, Redeye, and Super Stock – boasting outputs of up to 807 horsepower. Now, enter Hennessey’s maestros, the wizards who’ve been ‘making fast cars faster’ for over three decades. They’ve given the engine a VIP treatment – a larger supercharger (excluding Redeye models), upgraded fuel injectors, a high-flow induction system, pulley upgrades, stainless-steel long tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, and a crankcase ventilation system.

The result? An astronomical 1,000 horsepower and 948 lb-ft of torque. That’s just 25 horsepower shy of Dodge’s flagship SRT Demon 170 – and here’s the kicker – the ‘Final Bow’ editions run on good old pump-unleaded petrol. With these Hennessey enhancements, both models can hit 60 mph in a mere 2.8 seconds, and the quarter-mile? Conquered in 9.9 seconds at 141 mph.

But it’s not just about raw power; it’s about style. The ‘Final Bow’ editions flaunt their exclusivity with carbon-fibre flair – a new rear spoiler, front splitter, side skirts, and a rear diffuser. Rolling on distinctive 20-inch alloy wheels, available in gloss black or graphite-coloured finish, these limited editions boast heritage ‘Final Bow’ graphics and a plaque flaunting their serial number.

John Hennessey, the company’s maestro and CEO, shared his thoughts: “The Challenger and Charger are two of our most popular models, delivering monstrous horsepower wrapped in a comfortable and capable chassis. While bidding farewell to the 6.2-litre HEMI is bittersweet, I’m thrilled to pay homage with our unique ‘Final Bow’ models, marrying 1,000 horsepower with the sleek allure of carbon fibre and other exterior performance upgrades.”

The H1000 ‘Final Bow’ upgrade is available for 2021-2023 Dodge SRT Challenger and Charger models. Fear not, thrill-seekers, for all upgrades are covered by Hennessey’s comprehensive 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty. Currently under construction at Hennessey’s Sealy, Texas manufacturing haven, the ‘Final Bow’ is ready for a global voyage. Secure yours through authorised Hennessey Performance Dodge dealers or directly from Hennessey – because bidding farewell should be nothing short of extraordinary.

What do you think? I’d certainly love to experience driving one.
