Top Hypercars to be excited about in 2022

It’s that time again; the start of a new year, and the time we start to get really excited about what 2022 will bring us. We have listed below some of our favourites set to be launched / updated this year, and we honestly just can’t wait to see these roaring past us in the coming months.

The standard for hypercars continues to surprise, but equally not so. We are now used to the sublime, ridiculous, and flamboyant cars launched each year for the mega rich. And although I am hugely jealous, I am happy to standby and just admire these incredible art forms.

Ferrari 296 GTB

Ferrari 296 GTB

Ferrari’s first 6-cylinder car since 1974. Actually, according to any Ferrari purist, it is the first “proper” 6-cylinder Ferrari because previous Ferrari models with 6-cylinders were sold under the Dino badge. The 296 GTB packs a 3 liter twin-turbo V6 under the hood with 654hp. The car also includes an electric motor which provides 165hp. The overall output then is a crazy 818hp. That’s hypercar figures!

Porsche 911 GT3 RS

2021 Porsche 911 GT3

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be a monster. The GT4 RS Cayman that was launched a few weeks back is crazy, so just imagine what Porsche will do with the 911. The GT3 RS will include a huge swan-neck spoiler, a larger splitter, a louder exhaust, etc. Horsepower-wise, this car will probably have just over 500hp, a sensible guess would be 520hp. However, we would not be surprised if this thing has close to 600hp (judging by the new Cayman GT4 RS).

The previous 991.2 GT3 RS was one of the best Porsches ever made, so the standards are set high for the new 992 model. It has to be the best out there and set the benchmark for all track day cars.

Tesla Roadster

The Tesla Roadster is a car that carries a lot of hype. It’s a crazy car that is expected to be launched next year for $250,000, and it’s a bargain. How can we say $250,000 is a bargain? Well, if you want any other car with similar performance figures, you will have to spend millions.

The range is expected to be 620 miles, which for a car this fast is just incredible. Plus this car seats four too which is also a huge bonus. We are very excited about this car, and we cannot wait to see the finished product, hopefully sometime next year.

McLaren Artura

The McLaren Artura was unveiled this year and deliveries will commence next year. A spider model is believed to come out in 2022, though that is not confirmed as yet. The Artura is the first 6-cylinder McLaren production car ever made. It will also be the brand’s second hybrid after the P1.

The Artura replaces the 570s. It pretty much looks the same, but underneath it is a very different car. Power-wise, it has 671hp, which is insane, seeing as that’s over 100 more horses than the 570s.

Lotus Evija

A car that you’d never expect Lotus to make. It’s completely wild in every single way and packed full of technology. Power output is at 1970hp, which is just ludicrous. That’s 969hp more than a Bugatti Veyron. Production has already started, but customer deliveries will commence in 2022.

It’s the first-ever fully-electric Lotus. The aerodynamics are crazy too with a large diffuser, sleek body vents, etc. It hits 60 under 3 seconds, and the top speed will be well over 200 mph.
