Betley Continental GT ‘Pikes Peak’ limited edition reaches first customers
A total of 15 Pikes Peak Continental GT by Mulliner limited edition cars have been built celebrating Bentley’s record-breaking run up the world-renowned Pikes Peak course in Colorado, USA.
The Pikes Peak Continental GT Limited Edition is part of Bentley Mulliner’s new ‘Collections’ portfolio and is limited to just 15 vehicles, hand-built at Bentley’s carbon-neutral factory in Crewe, England.
In 2019 a race-prepared version of a standard W12-powered Continental GT beat the coveted time for a production car by more than eight seconds, climbing almost 5,000 ft through Pikes Peak’s 156 bends in just 10 minutes, 18.4 seconds.
Five customers buying the limited edition car have opted for the Mountain Decal Event Livery for their Limited Edition Continental GTs, whilst three chose a subtle gloss black exterior paint finish.
The Pikes Peak Continental GT is distinguished by Radium paintwork, a carbon fibre body kit, acid green brake calipers and Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tyres. The front, lower bumper inserts have gloss black detailing which is continues onto the roof panel, wing mirrors and rear surfaces.
Mulliner’s 22” Driving Specification wheels in Gloss Black are standard, while an optional ‘100’ grille celebrates the fact that the record-breaking Pikes Peak run took place in Bentley’s centenary year.
The car is equipped with the same 12-cylinder petrol engine as the car that broke the record: Twin-turbo Bentley W12 which develops 626bhp and 900Nm of torque, accelerating from 1-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds (0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds) with a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph).
