This is the Stunning Jannarelly Design-1

This absolutely beatuiful car is the Design – 1 by Jannarelly. The car in the photos is the Paris Launch vehicle. Stunning car!

According to its creator, Dubai-based Anthony Jannarelly, the Design-1 is a back-to-basics throwback to a time when sports cars were simpler, lighter, more engaging and, therefore, better.

The Design-1 has a simple steel spaceframe chassis, a normally aspirated engine behind the driver, powering the rear wheels through an optional limited-slip differential and a six-speed manual gearbox. Suspension is by double unequal-length wishbones at each corner, braking by large iron discs. There is no anti-lock braking and no airbags, although traction control is an option.

“The Jannarelly Design-1 was borne out of a missing link in the high performance lightweight Sports Car Market,” say company founders Anthony Jannarelly and Frederic Julliot. With a collection already full of Lotus, Caterham and similar cars, they felt that there was a need for a mid-engined option to join their extensive stable.

Created as an after hours project, the Design-1 is now the launch model for this manufacturer and offers a 950kg weight with a mid-mounted V6 developing over 320bhp.

With modern technology added to its retro design cues, the aim of the Design-1 is to deliver a raw, back to basics driving experience that few current supercars can match, allowing the driver to reconnect with the road without electronic interference.

A 0-60mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed limited to 135mph ensure that the Design-1 is all about the drive at any speed and does not chase the never ending power struggle, instead opting to deliver an experience that encourages the driver to re-learn long forgotten skills.
