To commemorate this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard’s Silver Jubilee, Goodwood Road and Racing is producing 25 videos, each highlighting a favourite personal memory of the Duke of Richmond from 25 years of the ultimate summer garden party.
Brawn GP’s Special Return
Fast forward over 20 years and we have the next of the Duke’s personal highlights, when Ross Brawn was persuaded to bring his all-conquering BGP 001 to the 2016 Festival of Speed.
Not seen in its original Brawn GP livery since 2009, Brawn’s car was chassis number 001-02, the very car that Jenson Button drove in all but one race in his championship-winning season. With former F1 driver and Sky Sports pundit Martin Brundle at the wheel, the Brawn was a popular addition to the paddocks at the 2016 Festival of Speed.
