There are plenty of great events and experiences out there for those seeking high-speed, high-octane thrills. These events aren’t just for car-obsessed dads, but provide fun for the whole family. Here’s our hand-picked list of the best car fuelled activities for you to try.\

Beaulieu Motor Museum
The beautiful village of Beaulieu in Hampshire offers one of the world’s best motor museums. The Beaulieu Motor Museum has over 250 cars and other vehicles from the 1800s all the way up to the present day. Exhibits include land speed record-breaking cars such as the famous Golden Rod and Bluebird, the world’s smallest car the Peel P50, famous TV cars such as Del Boy’s van from Only Fools and Horses and the flying Ford Anglia from Harry Potter, as well as cars made by the former presenters of Top Gear. Beaulieu also includes a monorail, lovely gardens and a secret army exhibition.

A Driving Experience
All around the UK many world famous tracks host a range of driving experiences including an Aston Martin experience, a Ferrari experience and a single seater car driving experience. Experiences start from just £99. These tracks include Brands Hatch circuit, Goodwood motor circuit, Silverstone and many more. The experiences last around an hour and include half an hour of professional instruction on driving techniques followed by laps around the track. Silverstone also offers a Caterham drift experience. From £119, professional drivers will teach you how to drift a 165bhp Caterham around the corners. The experience consists of three main sessions including a head to head drift battle.

Classic Car Spectacular
For those with a more refined and antique taste, Tatton Park in Cheshire hosts an annual Classic Car Spectacular event every summer. Entry is £9 for each adult and £6 for each child over 10 with under 10s going for free. The show includes over two thousand classic cars from makes such as Jensen, Jaguar, Lotus, BMW and MG. The event also includes the Car-Mart (where many rare classic and sports cars can be purchased), over 200 stalls, light entertainment and rides for children.

Goodwood Festival of Speed
The biggest event of its kind, Goodwood Festival of Speed is an annual hill climb event that takes place every summer in the town of Goodwood, West Sussex. It lasts for three days and tickets are capped at 150,000, so make sure to buy as soon as they come available.
The Festival of Speed’s main event is the hill climb, but visitors will also get to see the annual soap box challenge (gravity powered cars), forest rally, Michelin super car run and luxury auto show.
The festival gives you a chance to see all kinds of cars in action including the latest super cars, sports cars and professional racing cars.

24 Hours Le Mans
For those who are willing to head across the channel for their high-octane thrills, the world’s oldest high-performance endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, happens every year at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France.
This high speed, high stakes, high-intensity race includes some of the most exotic super cars and race cars in the world, reaching speeds of up to 260 miles per hour. Car makes on display can include Aston Martin, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari and Bugatti.
