Our top 10 cars on show at the London Concours 2020

The 5th London Concours took place at the HAC on 19-20th August 2020. It was a true delight that this event took place given that so many events in 2020 have been cancelled due to Covid-19 and social distancing guidelines. A big well done to the organisers for getting this event on.

From the British designed all-electric, elegant and strikingly beautiful, Lotus Evija (below) to the 1934 Ford V8 3 Window Coupe, there was an array of stunning classic cars, supercars and hypercars on show this year.

Here are our top 10 cars from the show, featuring classic cars, supercars and hypercars, just how we like it. These are our choices based on the cars we’d most like to own, drive or have in the my car heaven car collection.

  1. 1. The 2020 Lotus Evija (below)

Just look at it. Is there a more beautiful electric car? I do not think so. Well done Lotus. Shame about the £2.1m price tag.

2. The 2018 Ford GT (my favourite from the “The Era of the Supercar”) (below)

What a car this is. It looks amazing. Personally this colour is not for me, it’s too bland, but the design is out of this world. An epic car and I so so want to drive and own one.

3. The 1991 Ferrari F40 (below)

An all time favourite of ours. What’s not to love. Raw and lightweight, I’m sure that this is how Enzo Ferrari would have wanted all his cars, and it ticks all the boxes for me. I desire it very much.

4. 1984 Lancia 037 Rally Evo2 Group B (below)

In Martini racing livery. Perfect. I’d so love to drive this. I bet it’s epic.

5. The 1970 Lamborghini Miura S (below)

In white. Beautiful. One of the most iconic supercars ever. Period.

6. The 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV (below)

One of the most unique looking and striking cars of all time. I had one on my wall as a kid and it grabs me now just as much as it did when I was a kid. I so want one. Beautiful always, but particularly striking in white.

7. The 2001 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT (class winner – “The Era of the Supercar” (below)

My favourite supercar when growing up. It was either the Lamborghini Diablo, the Porsche 959 or the Ferrari F40. All awsome supercars, but it was the Diablo that I was in most awe at as that kid. Still think it’s a great car now. Awesome.

8. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (below)

One of the most beautiful cars of all time on my opinion. This car was just exceptional.

9. The 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS (below)

This is my personal favourite from the “Convertibles: The Golden Era” class. It was winner of this class and London Concours: 2020 best of show. What’s not to love. I’d dare to say that this car was in better condition than the day is came out of the Modena factory.

10. The 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8 Roadster (below)

Beautiful. Enough said.

So there you have our top 10. Hoped you liked our list. You can see more top 10s here.

Here are a few more cars that just missed out on our top 10 this time, but we thought were worth a mention.

The 1967 ISO Rivolta Grifo (below)

A timeless classic. Beautiful.

The 1934 Ford V8 3 Window Coupe, Blown Flathead V8 (No.53) (below)

One mean looking hotrod and I love it. Not sure how easy it would be to drive and see out those windows though and I bet it’s a handful.

1965 Lancia Flaminia SSZ (Lancia Legends) (below)

Another Zagato masterpiece. Beautiful.

2019 Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake (below)

1 of 99 build. Stunning. One, if not the best looking shooting brake cars I’ve ever seen, in my opinion.

Jaguar’s 1966 XJ13 Le Mans Prototype (below)

What a beautiful car. One I would love to drive it around a race track, just as it was built for. Yours for £500k.
