Our Top Ten Cars from the 2018 London Concours

I could not make it to the first ever London Concours held in 2017, so made an effort to get to the 2018 event.  It’s main event the Concours of Elegance is a DO NOT MISS event, so we had to get to the London Concours.  It did not disappoint.  Our postcard from the event will follow shortly, but in the meantime here are our top ten cars.  Of course it’s subjective, and all or our photos can be seen here on our London Concours 2018 photo album.

I’ve put these cars in order of the most desired by me.  Why’s my taste so expensive, arghhhhh!

1.  1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta ‘comp 61 Sefac Hot Rod’

We’ve seen several times before. But always stunning.

.

2.  1995 McLaren F1

The fastest car in the world for 13 years, from 1992 to 2005 at 240.1 mph. A central seat for the driver and unique in so many ways, it’s a legendary car. Anyone into there cars must desire one, and for these reasons it’s right at the top on our list. Just need to win the Euro millions now.

.

3.  1969 Lamborghini Miura S

The worlds first supercar some say. Beautiful, iconic, cool and very very desirable (for me at least). Love this orange colour and it just pops the car below, just.

.

4.  1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

A truly beautiful classic car. Unique at the time with its full wing doors, and it was the fastest production car in the world. Super cool, beautiful, iconic and desirable. Hence it’s so high up on my list, it’s my car heaven.

.

5.  1990 Ferrari F40

The 1st production car to break 200mph, the last car signed off by Enzo Ferrari. So so want one of those. Has to be in a top 10. Love them.

.

6.  1969 AC 428 Fastback

There are believed to be only 54 of these cars made in Fastback form. For us it’s an absolutely stunning and a real standout classic car. We’ve loved it for over a decade.

.

7.  2016 Ferrari F12 TdF

A beautiful car, love the design and colour scheme on this. Black alloys, carbon at the sides and black striping on the bonnet.

.

8.  1990 Alfa Romeo SZ

Unique looking. A drivers car. It’s my car heaven for sure. Wicked motor car.

.

9.  1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Q.V.

What a car. Unique, outlandish, very cool, and we love it. Don’t care about its practicality. It’s nuts, and for that we adore it.

10.  1973 BMW 3.0 CSL Batmobile

Nothing else looks like it. Cool styling. Lovely colour scheme. Beautiful.

.

Notable other mentions as so many cool classic cars, supercars and HyperCard. Got to add in the:

1993 Porsche RUF 964 Turbo 3.8 BTR

Love the extreme styling. I bet it will be super cool to drive.

.

1964 Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint Speciale

Beautiful. Unique looking. What’s not to love? Super cool. Anyone that anyone would love to drive this on a warm day in the Italian mountains. Cool, cool, cool.

.

1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic

Just 15 supersonics were made and it has a unique look. It is a show stopper.

.

1911 Fiat S76 – The Beast of Turin

Fire spitting, and massive. I love it, and it won two of the judges awards. Winner 2018 Best I’d Show and Class winner : Very fast.
A top speed of 135mph in 1911 if you were brave enough to do it.

.

1978 Lincoln Continental

Mental big. Looks about 6.5m long, 2 m wide. Most people would need to build a bigger garage for it.

.
