Our winners and congratulations go to:

    Aiden McHaffie
    Oliver Buss
    Catherine Hollywood

  • Aiden McHaffie says:

My favourite rally car of all time has to be Andy Burton’s Peugeot Cosworth. What a beast! Homebuilt using nothing more than alchemy and the used engine oil of sacrificed Focus WRC’s. I literally travelled hundreds of miles just because Andy Burton was competing. There was nothing more evocative than the sound of the Cosworth engine on full chat as the shaking bodywork came into view. I have never got over the fact the Peugeot Cosworth can no longer be seen on Britain’s stages as it embodied everything that was good about rallying at the grass roots.

  • Chris Lunn says:

As a rallying fan for life its been tough for me to narrow it down to one car however after much soul searching and getting lots of grief from my Ford loving mates when I said it was going to be the Stratos or Metro 6R4 (both really strong candidates), it ends up being the Ford Escort MK2 RS1800 in its full Group 4 glory. The sound of one of these car’s BDA engine through the trees of a special stage especially when being given the beans by a good driver just cant be beaten and still is the only music I’ve ever really loved. Its not the most glamorous car ever to grace the stages but god its the daddy especially to people of a certain age like myself!

  • Jane Fern says:

For us it’s the Peugeot 205 T16 simply because when it came out it was the coolest!

  • Oliver buss says:

Lancia delta s4, because the engine was revolutionary with supercharger & turbocharger

  • Bryan Evans says:

Walter Röhrls Audi Sport quattro S1 Pikes Peak car is my favorite with its extreme wings and crazy horsepower.
The sound from this car is truly magical to the ears.

  • Oliver buss says:

The fire breathing Audi s1. Sounds incredible, looks incredible, revolutionised rallying!
Can you persuade Michele mouton to drive one again at the event!!

  • Tim Sawyer says:

It has to be a BDA powered Escort, nothing beats the sounds of the engine of full throttle powering through a forest and then when it comes into sight sideways and powers its way past you and you get the smell of castrol R and mud on the exhaust!

  • Brian Spedding says:

Lancia Stratos. Especially when sideways in the snow on a Monte.

  • Will Wynn says:

Great choice Stewart. Epic car, and driver.

  • Stewart says:

Prodrive 555 Subaru Impreza of the late great Colin McRae dominating WRC.

  • Catherine Hollywood says:

My favourite motorsport car is the McLaren F1 GTR Harrods livery, driven by Derek Bell, his son Justin Bell & Andy Wallace at Le Mans 24 heures in 1995.
Why? Because it got the legand & 5 times Le Mans winner, Derek Bell, out of retirement!

  • Nick Tooley says:

My favourite all time race car is David Brodie’s Mk1 Escort “Run Baby Run”. from the 1960s.

Why – because as a young lad it was totally inspirational and I remember it well 40 years on.
