The most beautiful cars of the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
Each spring sees the Geneva Motor Show. Almost all of the world’s major car manufacturers have it circled on their calendars as a good venue for debuting new concept and production models. Here are our favorites from this year’s show.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
Lamborghini’s new halo model – the Aventador LP700-4 – has finally been revealed, and boy was it worth the wait. The company’s all new second generation V12 produces 691hp and drives all four wheels through a 7-speed sequential manual transmission. The body features Reventon-inspired styling as well as racecar tech bits like a carbon fiber passenger compartment and pushrod suspension at all four corners. Expected price, who knows, we’ll have to wait and see, I’d guess ar £250,000 when production begins later this year.

Saab PhoeniX Concept
One year after being jettisoned by GM and scooped up by Spyker, Saab is out to prove that it’s still very much alive. What better way to do that than by creating a concept car named after the mythical bird that rose from its own ashes? A 200hp turbocharged 1.6L four powers all four wheels, and there’s a new Android-powered infotainment system inside called IQon that will be found in production Saabs in the near future. Who would have guessed a little over a year ago that we’d be using “Saab” and “future” in the same sentence? Will it be made?

Aston Martin Virage
Is their really a need for a model to slot between the DB9 and DBS? Well Aston Martin is adding one anyway, in the form of the Virage. Available in coupe or spyder Volante configurations, the Virage’s 6.0L V12 puts out 490hp (20 more than it does in the DB9), includes carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, and revised front and rear styling. Beautiful Aston Martin as most are.

Koenigsegg Agera R
The Koenigsegg Agera hasn’t been out very long, but the Swedish supercar peddler has already devised an even more bat bajs variant called the Agera R. The turbocharged V8 makes an astounding 1,115hp on E85 (940hp on petrol), and the bespoke Michelin tires are certified up to 260 mph. Coincidence? Probably not, so Veyron owners should probably be worried. Wow.
Alex,
I agree with you, I do not see the point of the Aston Martin Virage. So let’s take another look at the Lamborghini Aventador, Koenigsegg Agera R and
Saab PhoeniX Concept.
For me the Saab was the most special car at Geneva, if they actually make it. Go on Saab, get rid of your boring, bland image and go for it!
I must say I very much agree with your choices, although I’m not a big fan of the Virage. All of these cars look pretty amazing and I’m especially surprised by the PhoeniX concept car. That must be one of the most unique concept cars I’ve ever seen. At least as unique as it gets without going into ugly territory. I’m especially fond of the ears the car has.
